Fourteen Live TV Channels and Video-On-Demand Content from Latin America Are Accessed by UK Subscribers
NEW YORK — Genesis Networks is providing a fully managed solution for transmission of a new IPTV service, Via America, between Miami, Florida and London, United Kingdom. The service consists of fourteen live TV channels and video on demand content from Latin America that is accessed by subscribers in the UK. The content is originated and assembled in Miami and then transmitted to London over the Genesis Networks global IP network where hosting and administration of the IPTV service is located.
Via America is projecting future market development in Europe and Japan as the demand for IPTV content from Latin America continues to grow. This development is reflected in the partnership of quality content aggregated by Via America and a leading edge delivery partner such as Genesis Networks. The combination of Genesis Network’s worldwide IP-based transmission network opens the door to a wide variety of delivery opportunities in a fully managed broadcast quality solution.
“Genesis is a key component in our business. It has the immense task of delivering all of our 14 TV channels plus more than 100 new hours of VOD programming each week from Miami to London, 24 hour a day, 365 days a year without interruptions” said Rodolfo Luisis, COO, Via America. “The trustworthiness of the service of Via America is one of our main strengths and this can only be obtained thanks to the technological support of Genesis Networks.”
“We are happy to provide the necessary support to Via America so that their content is able to reach the world,” said Paul Dujardin, founding chairman, Genesis Networks. “Global connectivity allows producers of quality content such as Via America to flourish and we look forward to growing with them.”
